Cause baby now we got problems. And I don't think we can solve them.
Kanye West freaking out backstage at SNL was secretly caught on tape and leaked to the Internet. Someone tipped the New York Post that the minimal stage setup on SNL triggered him to unravel moments before he was meant to go live.
"There were a few really tense minutes [backstage]," one source says, noting that Kim Kardashian was in the audience and had to help Lorne Michaels calm him down. “Just moments leading into the live show, and during the live show, Kanye had a meltdown and threatened to walk off."
"He freaked out about how the set was arranged. He was saying he's 'the greatest artist,'" another adds. "He's under a lot of stress between the new album and the fashion line."
As we know, Kanye stayed and performed.
Page Six now has audio of what they label a "meltdown."
West says: "They took my fucking stage off of SNL without asking me," Kanye said. "Now I'm bummed." Then he calls Taylor Swift a "fake ass," warns everyone in close proximity or not to not fuck with him and says he is 50 percent more influential than any human being alive, including Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Picasso, Pablo Escobar, and Apostle Paul. Listen here:
The leak follows a series of West's well-documented Twitter rants, in which he begs Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for a billion dollars because he's $53 million in debt. Meanwhile, Ye faced major backlash after slamming Taylor Swift in his song "Famous" saying "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that bitch famous."
When Swift won a Grammy for Album Of The Year on Monday, she used the moment to defend her accolades. She said, "as the first woman Album Of The Year at the GRAMMYs twice, I wanna say... there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people side track you... Some day when you get where you're going, you'll look around and you'll know it was you, and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world."
