Before there was Dangerous Woman, Ariana Grande had settled on naming her forthcoming record Moonlight.
Grande told fans months ago her forthcoming album would be named Moonlight, however after she recorded the Max Martin-produced "Dangerous Woman" song, decided to shift the album title to that instead.
"'Moonlight' is very honest and very special to me," Grande said last September. "I feel like this is the most personal music I’ve made, by far. I’m very proud of it and I’m very excited. It’s scary…it’s vulnerable and kind of terrifying."
The song will get an official premiere later today, but the clip surfaced online ahead of schedule.
It's soulful songs like these that Ari excels on. Her dreamy vocals waltz along to a whimsical harp as she sings:
"Puts his lips on my neck / makes me wanna give him my body / I've been falling' for you baby and I just can't stop cause I never knew you could hold moonlight in your hands until the night I held you."
