Ariana Grande dropped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon for the latest performance of "Side to Side".
spinning class performance at the VMAs last week, Ariana is still hitting the promo trail for the latest cut from 'Dangerous Woman'. The "Problem" star stopped off at Fallon last night to team up with house band The Roots for a solo performance of "Side to Side".
Ariana served outstanding vocals, as always, and even had a go at Nicki Minaj's part in the rapper's absence, which was surprisingly entertaining. The performance was simple but effective, and given how contagious the track is, hopefully it'll give "Side to Side" a boost in the charts, as it's currently failing to match the success of "Dangerous Woman" or "Into You".
Indeed, none of Ariana's output this time around has lived up to the commercial success of 'My Everything', which is particularly disappointing given how much better her material is now. The opus to put simplicity and vocal performance before style and effect might be dampening her chances of turning "Side to Side" into a bona fide smash, but then again, criticism came in thick and fast after she appeared to be out of breath during her VMA performance (the girl was on a goddamn exercise bike, what did you expect?)
What do you think Grande needs to do to give "Side by Side" a much needed boost in popularity?
