Before you try to beat me about the head, consider a few things. Britney Spears Federline, as she is now known, recently posted a letter to her fans after promising to do so for quite some time. In an interview with Britain's "OK!" magazine, she told her minions that she'd deliver "The Letter of Truth" and it would only be available to those who joined her official fan club, which meant they'd have to pay to read the thing. Turns out, her big spillage came in the form of a three-paragraph posting on her Web site, britneyspears.com, and it came at no cost at all. And what was her grand revelation? She says she's going to lie low because she's learned how to say no. She's going to turn down work and be her own gal. Celebrities will stop coming to Fiji if their movements could not be kept confidential, the country's tourism industry said this week. Industry organizations said the privacy of the celebrities who often traveled in private jets should be respected. South Pacific Tourism Organization chief executive Lisiate Akolo said in some countries the media ruined the holidays of celebrities who spent a lot of money on their vacation.
He said Fiji was popular in the region because of its five-star island resorts and strict confidentiality was maintained by the management, staff and handling agents. The Fiji Times took the views of organizations after the arrival of newly-wed pop star Britney Spears into the country on Monday morning.
Ms Spears will spend eight days with her dancer husband Kevin Federline at a five-star resort in the Yasawa Group.The source said the couple were accompanied by their bodyguard and flew into the country on a private jet. They will spend almost $2000 each per day at the resort. That is just for food and accommodation. An executive of the resort declined to comment, saying the privacy of guests was important for the company.
Fiji Visitors Bureau chief executive Viliame Gavoka said details of celebrities were so confidential the bureau did not have any statistics on it. He said the country received free mileage when the stars returned home and told their fans and the media they had just returned from Fiji. Mr Gavoka said celebrities provided free publicity and should return home with good memories.He said the celebrities liked the remoteness and the privacy and for many of them Fiji was their regular holiday destination.
Airports Fiji Limited media officer Prasheeta Ram said celebrities did not want public attention when they were on holiday. She said AFL handled only security aspects of the stars and all staff members had to adhere to the confidentiality policy of the company, which applied for all visitors coming in the country.Air Fiji manager airline operations Arthur Whippy said his company handled a lot of airline transfers for celebrities and staff adhered to the policy of confidentiality.
He said the airline prohibited staff from releasing details of any passenger, regardless of their status. Fiji Hotel Association president Dixon Seeto said the arrival of celebrities into Fiji always added a brand to Fiji.He said these guests spent a lot of money and should be looked after well. Mr Seeto said visitor arrivals picked up after political instability when celebrities started visiting the islands and talked about their stay after returning to their countries. He said these visitors would not return to the country if the public and the media disturbed them.
Air Terminal Services acting chief executive officer Isimeli Qaranivalu said the company handled the arrival of the visitors but most of the staff did not know which celebrity was coming or for how long they would stay as all details were handled by agents.
He said ATS was committed to providing 100 per cent services to all customers and celebrities and stars who came in private jets often had their programs pre-planned and known only to them and their agents.
The country has been a popular spot for Hollywood stars who either come to the island resorts for a break or on honeymoon.Among stars who frequently visited are Nicole Kidman, Pierce Brosnan, Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson. Mr Akolo said it was important for people involved in the tourism industry to remember that guests wanted the best service for the money they spent.

The RIAA has issued its first gold, platinum, and multiplatinum certifications for digital downloads. Britney has been awarded the gold certification with the likes of other bands including Coldplay, The Darkness, and Sheryl Crow.

The 17-year-old beauty believes toxic singer Spears is unfairly criticised for her singing talents, and would like to stop all of the jibes made against her.

A few months ago, Lynne Spears wrote in an online column that her daughter Britney's new video—for the single "My Prerogative"—possessed "an element of old Hollywood glamour and mystery." Her statement may puzzle some viewers; namely, those with eyes. In the video, Britney drives her car into a swimming pool; emerges from the water, dripping and squirming; writhes on a bed in her undies; and poses in lingerie and garters, stroking herself while a man puffing a cigar ogles her. That final scene, in particular, is a uniquely Spearsian take on adult-child arousal: all smoke and leerers. Sadly, the singer herself seems unaroused. "My Prerogative" arrives along with a disarmingly candid message on Spears' Web site. In this self-described "Letter of Truth," the pop star declares her need for a break. "My prerogative right now is to just chill & let all the other overexposed blondes on the cover of Us Weekly be your entertainment ... GOOD LUCK GIRLS!" She continues, "I understand now what they mean when they talk about child stars. ... It's amazing what advisors will push you to do, even if it means taking a naive, young, blonde girl & putting her on the cover of every magazine." Spears has already taken a lot of flack for her vigorously punctuated cri de coeur. But the fact is, she's absolutely right. She is tragically overexposed. Perhaps it's time for the pop tart to go home and eat some Pop-Tarts (which she has publicly longed for), and ponder what happened to her—or her publicists'—masterful navigation of the fine line between self-exposure and self-destruction. Having made an art of inviting viewers to wonder just how knowingly she has participated in her own hyper-sexualization, Spears can't find anyone willing to cut her the break accorded to most young naifs in the world of showbiz.

Pop Beauty BRITNEY SPEARS has rubbished recent reports that she's expecting her first child.
The Toxic star is furious at US WEEKLY MAGAZINE claimed her husband KEVIN FEDERLINE had announced that they discovered good news during their current honeymoon in the South Pacific island of Fuji.
The publication wrote, "Kevin himself called with good news."
But Spears' puplicist insists, "she is not pregnant."

JIVE NOT EXPECTING MUCH FROM GREATEST HITS: Jive will not have high expectations of Britney's latest album due to the fact that Britney will not be Promoting the album. Although Jive isn't expecting much they are hoping for another # 1 debut.
STILL NOT OUT OF THE ZONE?: Rumor has it that Breathe On Me and I've Just Begun Having My Fun are potential singles off Greatest Hits. Jive wanted to put Breathe On Me out as a single but it was bumped after Me Against The Music added Madonna, and CATWOMAN wanted Outrageous. The release of the singles will depend on how well each of the two singles that are officially going to be released ( My Prerogative and Do Somthin') and if Britney if healed enough to dance in the videos.
ONE MORE APPEARENCE.... Britney is said to make one more national appearence before going into her "break" this year. She is said to be on SNL later this year. Will this be her last appearence for a while? We highly doubt that.
BRITNEY NOT SATISFIED WITH ALBUM PICTURE: The Latest Rumors about Greatest Hits album is that Britney is said to be Unhappy with the image that Jive used for the cover. Britney has stated that her blonde days are over and the picture is 2 years old. Will the album come out with another cover?

Then you must be who Spears had in mind when she put together her DVD video retrospective, "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative." The set will contain several alternate versions of many of her top clips, including one for "Toxic" in which she wears nothing but diamonds the entire time.
Not only are some of the clips rarely seen and, in some cases, never-before-seen versions, but 10 of the 20 videos that comprise the November 9 collection have been expanded and enhanced. Fans can watch new footage from "Everytime" and "(You Drive Me) Crazy," as well as the never-before-released material shot before the singer's knee injury on the set of "Outrageous", including one scene where she's playing basketball with Snoop Dogg and ends up in his arms, giving him a little lick for luck.
Spears' camp was able to provide so many alternate versions because directors often shoot a full pass at a song in each costume, and then only use a few moments of it in the finished clip. So while some of the alternate takes of "... Baby One More Time" and "Oops! ... I Did It Again" will look familiar, the videos have been re-cut for a whole new feel. One of those alternate clips, for "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know," makes the most use of Britney's body of work, with the spaceman from "Oops! ... I Did It Again," an opening door from "My Prerogative" and a guy from "Toxic" all making cameos. And though "Outrageous" was never finished, it, too, gets an alternate version.
Though the footage was easily accessible, assembling it wasn't so easy. The project took four months to put together, her label rep said, as crews combed through unused footage and edited new versions for some, and used instrumentals and alternate audio in others. There's a new vocal mix for "I'm a Slave 4 U," for instance, and in "(You Drive Me) Crazy," the alternate audio gives the feel of Spears singing the song as a round, where the beat is in sync but one layer of her vocals is just slightly ahead of the other.
Not all of the features are going to be easy to find. The DVD provides two menus — one for original versions, one for alternates. But with some digging, fans will also find hidden features, such as a second alternate version of "My Prerogative," consisting entirely of the film shown in the original version, where Spears is seen rolling around on a bed in her underwear. (The first alternate version includes more footage of Spears' husband, Kevin Federline).
As many versions as Spears offers, however, there's one that fans have to provide — by singing along. An alternate take of "Toxic" lets you hear the music and see Britney, but no vocals come out of her mouth. And since she's wearing nothing but those infamous diamonds, the guide lyrics help provide some necessary cover-up — try watching that and getting the words right. Thanks VH1.com
