It's the end of an era, as reality talent series American Idol came to a close.
While the producers are totally up for rebooting the series eventually, last night's performances were all about echoing the memories of a series that began 14 years ago and has since launched the careers of countless music stars.
The most anticipated performer was Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, who debuted anti-housewife anthem Ain't Your Mama and classic Let's Get Loud:
Idol judge and country star Keith Urban joined Idol winner Carrie Underwood:
Underwood also performed Something In The Water:
Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson was joined by Fantasia Barrino and LaToya London for a powerhouse performance:
(Joint tour, anyone?)
A series of medleys based around music genres allowed for various Idol alums to take the stage that made them famous one last time:
Idols Past And Present
Other notable performances include the iconic "bad audition" contestant William Hung (a refresher for the younger crowd) and a special David Bowie tribute:
Finally, of course, was the announcement of the last American Idol winner ever (maybe).
Congrats to Trent Harmon!!
