Adele’s “21” Becomes Longest-Charting Female Album On Billboard

Congratulations, Adele!

The success of Adele’s career-defining and now legendary sophomore album “21” must be difficult for her to comprehend by this point, as it has broken another record and is the longest-charting album by a women on the Billboard 200 chart.

Yes, that’s right: the album - released in 2011 - has spent an unbelievable 319 weeks on the chart, according to Variety, beating Carole King’s “Tapestry."

“21” took Adele from British singer-songwriter to global phenomenon, thanks to timeless hits like “Rolling In The Deep” and “Someone Like You.”

As of now, its follow-up “25” has spent 71 weeks since debuting at #1 in 2015. Will it ultimately win or will “21” always be the best?
