Adele will say hello to the Grammys this year.
And for the first time ever, she'll do it live. That's because the 2016 Grammys on Feb. 15 will air live nation wide from 5 to 8:30 p.m. PST. "We've discussed this with CBS for years, but a variety of factors came together this year, and we collectively agreed that we had the perfect opportunity to try a new model and see how viewers respond," said the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Foundation president Neil Portnow via Billboard. "I'm very pleased to share that, for the first time, west coast TV viewers will be able to watch the GRAMMY Awards live."
ABC also confirmed performances from The Weeknd, Little Big Town and Kendrick Lamar, who received 11 nominations this year including album of the year for "To Pimp a Butterfly" and song of the year for the Pharrell-produced "Alright."
"This lineup of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music's biggest night, Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement. "We look forward to celebrating what's been a wonderful year in music, honoring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances."
