“The mission statement really spoke to me,” Adam Lambert says of his new endorsement deal with Oreo. “They’re encouraging people to look at our similarities as opposed to our differences and that is in line with my philosophy.”
That, and it was always a dream of his to be featured on a song for TV. “It was always this fantasy — wouldn’t it be such a treat to record a song for a TV commercial?”
Is that a trick question?
Lambert’s voice now appears in two new animated commercials for the famous cookie brand. The campaign’s message asks us to open our hearts — like a cookie — to people who are different than you and you’ll discover the similarities, says Billboard.
In other words, we’re all just hard exteriors but sweet inside, right?

Lambert joins Kacey Musgraves, Owl City, Tegan and Sara and Chiddy Bang are also participating in the company’s new advertising campaign which is expected to roll out in the first half of 2016.
