Adam Lambert performed "Ghosttown" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.
Dressed in all white, Lambert showed off his singing chops during a live appearance on Ellen. Despite a blanket of fog and pulsating lights, it's hard to ignore Lambert's evolution as a performer from his Idol days. The timid stares are replaced with smizing and the dark goth ensembles thrown out for fitted and stylish threads.

"I really wanted to first communicate the lyrics directly to the viewer, but then I also wanted to kind of highlight a scene of people," Lambert said about his newly released music video for the song. "A lot of the people that we hired for the video are friends of mine. It was really fun on set. It was kind of a party, which made it a very relaxed shoot -- I've never shot a video like that before, that felt like a house party."
"I like to work with people that are friends of mine," he says. "I feel like you get better work done that way, and so that's what we did. [It] represent[s] real parts of my life, 'cause I wanted it to feel like a piece of me."
