Hailee Steinfield's next acting role is pop star, and it's very believable!
She teased a song would drop for several weeks now, but the time has come for Hailee Steinfield to premiere her new song "Love Myself." The 18-year-old star showed off her singing voice in the Pitch Perfect sequel earlier this year, but we had no idea she had the capacity to record an anthemic, radio-friendly hit that's sure to rival Rachel Platten's "Fight Song."
In the Mattman & Robin-produced track, Steinfield sings about being independent and not needing anyone else - man or woman - and she can thank Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels for their songwriting talents. The two also wrote songs recently for Selena Gomez and Rita Ora.
"I love me / gonna love myself no I don't need anybody else."
Taylor Swift would be proud. Listen here:
