Farewell to 2NE1.
It feels like an appropriate day to share a music video titled "Goodbye," which marks the last time South Korean girl group 2NE1 will release anything together.
The black and white video is a grim reminder of their leave, showcasing past memories and performances as they lie on the ground surrounded by candles, flowers and loneliness. It's more of a funeral than a celebration of the band's success, which is also eerily appropriate today.
As PopCrush points out, “Goodbye” was co-produced by J Gramm (Travis Scott, DJ Mustard) and K. “Rook Monroe” Watkins, who co-wrote Rihanna‘s ANTI standout track, “Desperado” and Kid Ink’s “Nasty.” They also report band member CL wrote the song “as an outlet for the leader’s feelings of regret about the end of 2NE1.”
"Goodbye until the day we meet again."
