Judge Reva Goetz signed off on giving him legal power to govern Britney’s affairs.

One of the conditions for Britney to judge on X Factor was for Jason to become conservator.

“As co-conservator, Jason is now empowered to help decide how Britney will earn and spend her money — including the $15 million deal she’s about to sign with X Factor.”

Jamie’s attorney, Geraldine Wyle, says, “Jamie’s thrilled.” Why? “It’s all in the family.” She says it was not Jamie’s decision, “It was Britney’s decision to add Jason to conservatorship.”

“This will be a process that has to play out and for the judge to consider,” a source close to the situation told E! News.

Neither Jamie nor Britney appeared in court today, but a clean-shaven Trawick did, clad in a gray pinstripe suit and blue striped tie. While L.A. Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz approved several different motions regarding the sealing of Britney’s medical and legal records, the part of the hearing dealing with Trawick’s co-conservatorship was closed off due to the discussion of Britney’s medical history.

Her house in the Summit in Beverly Hills was originally put on the market for $2,995,000, so the price it was sold for was enough to ask the judge to cancel tomorrow’s hearing.

“Since Britney is under a conservatorship, the probate could generally hold a hearing which essentially turns into a bidding war. But we’re told Britney’s conservator and her lawyers asked the judge to cancel the hearing — which was scheduled for tomorrow — and they got their wish.”

Britney bought the home for $6.8 million in 2007.
