The Wanted talked shit about Britney last week, but maybe the gossip isn’t true. They appeared on Fresh 102.7 In New York on Monday and were a little more friendly towards the pop princess.

However, they DID encounter an… interesting experience with Brit.

“We signed a confidentiality thing that we should never say anything about what happened, but let’s tell it anyway,” band member Tom Parker said on air.

Siva Kaneswaran said, “I was in the hallway with my tour manager. Basically we were looking with a laptop, trying to get wifi…facing the middle of the hallway. [Britney's] bouncers came down with her and told us to face the wall.”

“As Miss Spears is walking through,” elaborated Tom. “We’re like come on!” Siva continued, “We turned around and I faced a wall for about 10 seconds until she got really far away.”

It was for their protection! Commoners can not handle her presences.

But they don’t want people to think they’re slamming Brit Brit, Jay McGuinness jumped in to clarify. “But honestly when we actually met her person to person, she was so down to earth. You can tell she’s a total southern girl and Nathan, when he was a kid, won a singing competition. She was one of the judges or something. And she gave him a kiss, it was one of his first kisses as a kid. So he got to meet her again and support her.”

Actor Robin Williams was asked if Britney marrying her co-conservator Jason Trawick is the wave of the future, or a sign of the apocalypse.

“One of the signs of the apocalypse,” he cracked to Eonline.com. “And I think she’s on the calendar of ‘Girls of the Apocalypse.’”

“That’s kind of a double bill,” Williams says of Trawick’s appointment. “It’s like having your dealer as your therapist.”

Singer Tony Bennett briefly talked Britney at “The Zen of Bennett” show on Monday night at the Tribeca Film Festival.

One audience member asked him if he’d ever work with Britney, to which he replied:

“No. I don’t know what she does.”

Tony Bennett is a pretty big legend, so we’ll explain to him what Britney does:

Mr. Bennett, Britney Spears is one of the best selling female artists of all time, who’s sold out hundreds of shows and connects and inspires millions of fans around the world on a daily basis.
